Ballet Pilates Fusion
This DVD has such a nice mix of Pilates and ballet that it made me miss my days in ballet class. I have thought about taking a ballet class for years and this DVD gave me the ballet discipline I was wanting. Bernadette Giorgi, who developed the Just b Method, puts her varied background to good use as she mixes the three disciplines of ballet, Pilates and small hand weights for a fun and challenging method of conditioning.
There is a modern ballet rhythmic warm-up, a Pilates-inspired mat workout with 2lb weights and a standing ballet and Pilates fusion using a band for added resistance. Anyone with a background in dance would enjoy the fusion of ballet barre work, Pilates and added resistance. It is a nice combination for a new and challenging workout. I showed some of my instructors that are also dancers and they loved it. We are always looking for more standing options for our Pilates clients and this was a great resource.
